My battery backup went on the fritz and I kept it in the attic for years. Finally, I brought it down and tried to use it. It would only serve as a surge protector, but no battery backup was possible. When I replace the old battery inside the case with this, Voila! It fixed it. I have been using it for several months now and everything seems to be just fine.
