I had it for a while but did not use it until recently. So returning was not an option. First, there was a loose piece inside. I opened it and notice the wire and one fuse had become loose and were moving around. I know very little, but I decided to tackle the job myself. I fixed the problem, and it started running again. While using it with one ac outlet only, it works fine. Once a plug another device, like I plug my tv and my laptop charger. It started making a humming noise and distorted the screen like with interference. So I decided to use it only to run my tv and nothing else at least nothing ac powered.

It worked like it should. Good deal for the money.

This has been a literal life saver for me. I am on medical equipment that supports me so I can sleep and with the erratic and spontaneous PG&E power shut offs I have been with out power for days and needed to rely on my relatives with generators to charge my equipment and even with charge only last 4 hrs so using this attached to car better has given me the ability to sleep soundly. Works perfect and is easy to use and maintain.

Only lasted 2 years. I used it primarily for my mini fridge.

Cannot even power a 145 watts fridge. The fan is also very noisy. The only positive is that it looks like it is a real pure sine wave inverter.

Works good. My normal loads currently are only 50-100 watts. The internal fans don’t even come on with that low of a usage which is nice because I don’t like noise. When I start to use 500 watts the internal fans kick on. It isn’t to loud even when the fans get on. Very low power consumption when no load is applied, like almost none. I use mind on a solar battery bank so efficiently was very important. I use to turn it off when I wasn’t using it now I just leave it on for convenience. Lazy I know but I also don’t like walking into dark spaces if I can help it. I run the output to a GFCI plug then run my appliances off the GFCI. I kind of wish it had a GGCI build in but also glad it doesn’t. Some power tools will trip a GFCI and that’s thought to be normal. Personality I have see a tool one day trip the GFCI and other days not trip the GFCI. So I do like the flexibility of being able to pick and choose what I need for that moment.

NO POWER (4 volts coming from the AC); NO ELECTRICAL CABLES INCLUDED … what gives??

I noticed from other reviews the quality of the product was variable. I ordered hoping for the best. I have been using a 4×6 metal cutting band saw, drill press, and grinders with a modified sine wave inverter for a number of years. With the modified sine wave inverter the equipment ran rough and recently the band saw refused to run. Once I plugged the machines into this inverter everything ran great. I used all the mentioned tools today (not at same time) for a couple hours without a problem. Inverter fan came on briefly. Only 1 fan came on and seemed to be turning slowly. I am hoping the fans are variable speed and not defective. The band saw is rated for 9 amps at 110 volts and ran without a problem. If this inverter keeps performing as it did today I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend to others.

Works great for the price, used with a 100 AH deep cycle battery. I’ve ran up to 750 watts and output is great. Output voltage runs a bit lower than 120 VAC, I think 110 or 115. Also no rating for peak power, but based on my experience so far, it does not handle a start surge that well, so you may have problems with devices that have motors or high surge, like hair dryers, vacuums, and microwaves. I wouldn’t use this inverter for anything over 900 watts. One con is that the fans are rather loud as they run at full speed and are small (smaller fans running fast = more noise). A variable speed fan would be a big plus (most computers have them, don’t know why you don’t see them more in inverters). Another con is no indicators for for battery voltage or power. I added a little $7 LED voltage meter in order to monitor the battery (search B00B689UGA). Overall, if you need to keep cost down, this is a great inverter for a great price considering this is pure sine wave (PURE is so much better for your devices!). If your budget is higher, there are better options with status displays. I have good experience with the brand Go Power ($$$), and I saw another one of interest from VertaMax ($$).

This review is for the 1000 watt inverter. Hooked up to a charged battery (13.2 volts). Output of inverter was swinging wildly from 4 volts AC to 115 volts AC on a true RMS meter. Nothing was plugged in and unit did not stable to 115 volts after 2 minutes. Turned off and will do further checks later. If it will not work correctly I will return it for another or get my money back. Will update with more info if anything changes. 5/24/2018 update. I have received the 500 watt unit and it works fine. The 1000 watt unit did not work so I decided to eat the cost to find out what was wrong with it. I opened the unit to find out some of the soldered pins were not soldered others were not soldered very well. I then took it apart completely and resold the board and the components. Put it back together and tested works fine now and will handle the 1000 watt load with larger awg wire. I will give this unit a review of 3 stars as I could repair it and the other item I purchased worked very well. Please note I work in the electrical fields making the tools that make microchips. Although I found it an easy fix. If you don’t know what your doing with this kind of equipment, exchange it or take it to a professional for repair. Please also note I did not contact the seller. Shipping was good and it arrived on time. :0).

Bought 2, sent 1st one back. It was DOA but it was bought at a discount price and not packaged well for shipping. Paid full retail for 2nd one, extremely well packaged. Worked right out of the box. With no load it showed 115v. With 165 watt load stayed 115v. I ran my t.v. dish, gaming system (gaming system on standby) and a small wood stove fan on low for 3hrs. I don’t recall the voltage drop if any, the fans on the inverter cycled on and off about every 3 minutes and run for only a couple of seconds. They were noticeable but not extremely loud. But I guess noise level is relative to your tolerance. This is all the testing I’ve done, look forward to putting it through more rigorous test. But very pleased with the light duty loads I’ve tried. The only other test is I did not notice any sound difference between house current and inverter when I plugged in a box fan. Nor did it mess up the television. Not sure if that’s proof that’s pure sine.

It is not 1000 watts, maybe 500 watts. 3 weeks just worked.

Works great, I just did not know how critical the power input was to the system.

Tried using it for a few hours to power a Rinnai ES38N furnace, which only draws 130W maximum. It worked perfectly and there was plenty of charge remaining in the battery when I reconnected the furnace to the house outlet. Voltage was a little low, but I was using an old spiral cell battery(12.4V but still strong enough to use in a car) and when out of curiosity I checked the output of my APC 350ES it was even lower(under 100V) and it’s always worked fine for my TV and DVR. If there ever is an outage during the Winter months, this should keep the house warm until power is restored.

I installed this in my ’02 Jeep Grand Cherokee to power a 500VA oxygen machine. It has a compressor and a bunch of electronics so I didn’t want to go with a cheaper modified sine wave inverter. This one powered the equipment perfectly. I ran a 2AWG amp wire approx 10′ long from the cargo area under the truck straight to the battery with a 100A inline fuse. I used the same size for ground but tied it to the frame about 2′ away. At first I was concerned that the stock alternator wouldn’t handle the extra load for a long trip so I brought a spare battery with me just in case. But the 136A alternator was fine and I didn’t need the spare battery. I would imagine having an issue if I tried to pull the full 1000W of power, but my backup plan is to lockout overdrive to keep the RPM’s high so the alternator can provide the extra power, along with periodically turning off the equipment to let the battery charge and give the alternator a break.

Is a light weight unit for the size. Very quite. The cable nobs feels strong enough. Low voltage alarm has nice volume level. Five stars if it was 120vac output but ofcourse price will be higher

Nice inverter better than I expected!Tested it out and perfect since wave. Made my mini fridge compressor run nice and smooth. Seems motors are the easiest way to tell they buzz on modified sine wave this one works great.

The fan in this unit is very quiet. It’s keeping up with a high load just fine. I like it so far!

Only used it a few times works great, I have 2 100watt panels and 2 -12 volt deep cycle battery, it runs a 32 inch tv and direct tv box, no problems so far…
