The deep cycle marine grade battery was difficult to locate in my region since I’m not exactly near water. They’re useful for my solar gate opener and can be used for trolling motor or electric golf cart! The price is equivalent to auto zone/harbor freight. I bought the same brand compatible battery box with vent holes for extra weatherproofing so that I could use python locks to secure my battery to the gate and prevent theft.

The battery appeared to be a good value for the money. It arrived well packaged. It included the terminal bolts to screw into the female posts. However, one post was not threaded properly. Both bolts fit well in one of the terminals but neither fit well in the other. When I screwed it down the terminal top broke off with the bolt in it. I was very surprised but when I contacted customer support they issued a full refund/return. I was very pleased with this service. The battery otherwise seemed to be in good shape. As other reviewers have commented, the bolts were small and I would prefer a larger bolt size to use larger lugs to attach.

This battery was a perfect fit to replace the batteries in a Pride Victory 10 mobility scooter (2 batteries required). After a full charge, the scooter was used for several hours at a theme park and performed very well.

Worked fine powering my trailer with a solar panel but this year it stopped holding a charge. Switching to a lithium battery next.

Great battery, I used for running my font pump, 4 hours a day .

This has been a great second battery for my camping accessories. This, along with a dual battery isolator works very well for all night appliances. Runs my fridge and diesel heater no problems.

I run a small (24A) trolling motor on my Pit Boss boat. I ran this battery off and on for 3 days with no noticeable drop in output. I ran the motor on low, so I don’t know about charge life running it in high. Size, weight, and shape are great. I put one of my solar panels on the battery for a few hours and it was ready to go again. The only downside is that the terminals are small if the powered device has clips. I am very happy with this purchase. Love the gel, size, and weight!

good battery for the price

We needed a compact deep-cycle battery. The Mighty Max battery meets our needs well, and is a reasonable price.

Installed this battery in each of my two driveway gates. Power for batteries are from a solar panel. Installed in Early June of 2020. Batteries are in a protected (from weather) container for the gate operators. I’ll update here if anything goes amiss. But so far, so good. Looking forward to see how they operate in Winter where we get into the 10’s. Update: December 2020. One battery won’t hold a charge. Won’t even charge to 12volts. Other one (bought 2) is holding up fine. Went to the Might Max website and entered a claim to get the defective battery replaced. Will let you know what happens. Stay safe.

So far so good. I use 3 together to store solar power. Nice little battery.

Works well. I can’t rate longevity yet.

I use this battery with my Solar panel. It is charged quickly. I use it in an Off Grid building for lights. As soon as I got it configured and insured that it had a 100% charge, I tested with full lights for 4 hours. With modest sun, it was recharged in 2 hours. With this confidence, I will probably add a few batteries, so I can provide power for 1000 Watts of 128 volts, so I can power small hand tools. for an hour or so.

Light and easy to carry to my boat. I use this with a 36 pound thrust trolling motor on a small aluminum fishing boat. I can fish 3-4 hours with intermittent trolling motor use without running out of juice. Generally it has 50-60% charge left after a trip. I can fully recharge it during the afternoon and go back out for a second fishing trip in the evening. Your experience may vary depending on size of your boat and amount you use the trolling motor. But for me it is perfect. Gel batteries have a longer life but make sure you have a charger that supports AGM batteries.

Right after it arrived we had a power outage of several hours. I hooked it up to my system, when the lights came back on, I slapped a meter on it again, very little change in charge. Next time I will hook up even more load and see how it goes. Up here we joke about the obligatory bi-monthly outages.

Utilized for a powerwheels jeep. Extended the run time tremendously!

The battery appears well made, and I like the tapped terminals with supplied M5 bolts. Much easier to connect leads than with nuts and bolts. The description is confusing because it reads GEL AGM Battery. Well, these are two different technologies, with different charging requirements. Gel cell batteries do have glass mat separators as do AGM batteries, but I have never seen GEL batteries described as GEL AGM batteries. Technical information for this product is not available on the Mighty Max web site. But there is a specification sheet that I learned about from their parent company, and it took two phone calls to get it emailed to me. Reviewing the spec sheet reveals that this is indeed a GEL battery and the recommended float charge voltage is 13.2 to 13.4 Volts. You can cycle-charge the battery after a heavy discharge using constant voltage set to 14.2 to 14.4 Volts and limiting current to less than 10 Amperes. Note that these voltages are lower than would be used for a flooded cell battery, so only use a charger that has a specific program for GEL batteries. Failure to do this will likely damage a GEL battery. I have not used this battery enough to say anything about performance over many discharge cycles, but its a GEL so it should do well.

I purchased two of these Mighty Max 12v 35AH gel batteries and build a power station with solar charging for a week long camping expedition into the Colorado mountains. The batteries performed great. I can not find fault in their performance at all. My calculations indicate that they performed at or better then spec. Great quality batteries

I received my order quickly. I would have liked for the connections to be at least 5/16 instead of 10 machine screws. I guess I will find out if they can handle the current draw.

Perfect fit for what I needed it for – which was a battery box to use for a telescope. EDIT: Two years later and this battery is still running strong. A LiOn would be lighter, but I don’t think I’d get the length of running from then through the night with all my equipment that I do with this one.

Running this battery in my Jeep as a secondary in a dual battery set up. Have a smart isolator installed. A 20w solar panel keeps this battery charged at all times. A bit smaller than a standard automotive battery. But that makes it easier to find a mounting location.

The customer service is great. I will buy all my solar batteries from this company. This is a quaility product, fairly light weight and meets all my solar needs. I can’t praise the customer service enough. Thank you for sending me a great product in a timely manner. I have not one complaint.

Perfect for use a field kit battery for my Yaesu FTM-100D amateur radio transceiver. Steady power, small footprint, relatively lightweight and well built. Paired with a good battery charger (I use the NOCO Genius GEN1), it’s a great combination.

Installed this Deep Cycle battery on December 2016, for my solar project (remote/on-site power for surveillance cameras). Battery still works without any problems even in a cold climate.
