Original Review: Arrived on time. Arrived well packed. Easy to install (once I found some info on You-tube).Lasted one year (almost to the day). Figured it would last longer when I purchased.Updated 8/24/2018: I dropped the star rating because I purchased the battery again and the company has purchased the batteries from a new manufacture that isn’t building them to spec. The battery no longer fits in the Simon-XT alarm panel. It is slightly too large which prevents it from properly fitting in the battery compartment. This prevents the panel from being closed. Even if the company fixes the issue, who knows how long it will take to cycle all of the wrong size batteries out of the inventory before the correct size battery will again be available. I simply won’t take the chance AGAIN.UPDATED 8/30/2018: I’ve been in contact with the company. They addressed the issue promptly. Therefore, contrary to the previous posting, I would take the chance again. Simply know that until the wrong sized batteries cycle through the inventory, you may have to go through a return process. Please read the return policy.

I had an incident in which I powered up and operated my computer system for a couple of minutes without realizing that my UPS system had been unplugged. Not recommended! Why there was no flurry of blinking and beeping alarms I don’t know. But the point is that this battery sustained things just fine until realized my mistake and did an orderly shutdown. To me, that’s getting the job done.

I simply unplugged the alarm, removed the two top screws, took out the battery and replaced it with this one and reversed the other steps. Worked perfectly! No need to clear codes or do anything else!
