My motorcycle battery will be tested when I feel like it

This hydrometer does what it’s supposed to, and that is give you an indication of the charge of a lead-acid battery. It arrived in an mailing envelope OK. Opening the mailer produced a plain white box with the hydrometer inside. There were no instructions of any kind included. I’ve used these things for many years and didn’t have a problem but some sort of basic info sheet should be included for those not familiar with them. Battery acid is something that needs to be carefully handled.
Kathy –
Great buy, works great
Rick Kester –
The suction bulb did not draw battery acid up for evaluation. Your milage may differ but it didn’t work for me.
DFC –
Item arrived on time and packaged well. No instructions but I figured it out quickly. Pro Tip: make sure the glass product in the tube is installed correctly – the correct sid up for it to work correctly.
Capt. Crusoe –
I have several pieces of equipment that have their own lead acid batteries. Nice to have an electrolyte tester to make sure all cells are coming up to a full charge.
Hank Thompson –
Bought this to verify the batteries on my golf cart were in good condition. Learned to use a battery hydrometer from my Dad, back in the day before “maintenance free” batteries were available. This hydrometer was a good value for the money and seems to work fine. I’d buy it again and recommend it to anyone who needs it.
SO-GLAD –
NICE quality at a very fair price too. I priced similar Hydrometers elsewhere, but THIS was my best buy and choice! BUY with confidence.
Fred Keuser –
Battery tester works good as decribed
David A. Velez –
Problem came without instructions of how to put it together and how to use it.
Mr. Clean –
I do like this model. It’s accurate and easy to use. The thing is made of strong plastic – not glass – it’s bulb pulls more than enough electrolyte for easy measurements. A few squeezes and you can effectively mix the electrolyte too. The best part is unlike the ones that you have to hold absolutely completely level or you will get an inaccurate reading – not so with this one! and… no bubbles! Can’t really be beat for the price.
bobcee –
Makes it easier to maintain the solar batteries.

I had an 8 volt gof cart battery tested 8.6 volts just like the rest but it had a dead cell. With out this tester or a load tester I would have never found it . It was keeping the charger from shutting off.
Robert –
Testing the cells on my golf cart. Also a very good product that’s very at a low cost

I expect average these days, so I’m surprised qhen i get exceptional products. This is one of them. Shipping and packaging are superior. Great product, would buy again.
AV Buff –
Good product at a fair price
mosun –
All good
Mr D V Lake –
Easy to assemble and use. Great value for money.
Scott Coates –
Good tester
Richard –
slightly smaller than my previous hydrometer. I think the larger one was easier to read.
Matt –
No packaging or instructions included.N
John W. Brogan –
Worked as expected
Russel one L –
works as expected
William Kozey –
Works great and is easy to use.

I like this hydrometer due to the outer tubing being plastic and not as fragile as the glass ones. The rubber bulb and suction tube are a nice, soft rubber. My past experiences with Asian rubber products has been very poor. The rubber parts always seemed to crack and fail in short order. I have decided to store my tools with rubber parts in the freezer. I n the garage. I think I can clean my rubber tools up and bag and freeze them to prolong their lives.
Wally’s World –
You have to be careful about how firmly you squeeze the bulb as it will tend to collapse and you’ll have to coax it back to fill the tube. Other than that, it seems to be OK……
Jacques Blondeau –
Good tool for my golf cart
Ian Hawkins –
Perfect tool to keep all your batteries in tip top condition
Drew –
Met my needs.

This process for checking batteries is as old as time and works the best on batteries that give access to the cells. The product is reasonably priced . Saved me a lot of money replacing only the bad battery in my golf cart that was bad rather then all six.
Thom –
This item has a plastic tube that is less susceptible to breakage.
rws –
I was initially concerned about the inherent accuracy of the hydrometer. So to verify, I tested the hydrometer with a standard saline solution of known density. The measured specific gravity was 1.15 compared to 1.150 for the standard solution. Perfect. Not bad for $12 bucks.
Charles Fuentes –
Very good if you really want to check your batteries condition
thomas Roach –
Used the product to check my battery condition.
Charles Stewart –
This feels very cheaply made, but it does just what it is supposed to do and works well.

This product works as I expected. Used on my motorhome batteries and was so much easier to use this item instead of trying to guess if the battery needed more water or not. Glad to have this item.

Thanks
KPHawaii –
Works perfectly on my golf cart batteries. Just what I needed.
Garyd –
it worked very well.
Jack H. –
The float was packed upside down. Took a while to figure that out and there were no directions. A hydrometer is not something you use regularly, so could use a little help.
David Johnson –
Easy to use and I would reccomend this product.
amber yates –
This item arrived in 2 days. We used it a few minutes ago and it’s a great investment. We found 2 dead cells.
Sean Reynolds –
For simple lead acid battery testing it’s great.
Gert Honnold –
needed for charging batteries in golf cart. works great.
Select Phone Data –
very well made for the price
mogen –
good price, fast delivery
donald mills –
Tested all 6 of my golf cart batteries, found the bad, great tool
Patsy A Murphy –
We received the battery promptly, appears well made, will have to wait to see how it lasts. we only use the mower a couple of times a month and winter is coming so we wont be using it for a few months
Karen Gomez –
It is a great hydrometer (it does the work) though it is a bit pricey. Great in accuracy and it is good that the material is not glass because it is more durable
francisco –
buena calidad

en la bomba negra cuando agarra el acido se sale no es bueno

a completely unnecessary tool for testing and filling batteries.

Very useable does the job I was looking for
Robert K. –
Wish it was made of plastic instead of glass.
George L. –
works great
joanne cowles –
as described

It does what it was designed to do, shows you the specific gravity. The seal at the bulb is not good and liquid runs out of the tube at a steady stream so be quick when checking your reading. Do not lift the hydrometer too high or move it away from the battery or you’ll be splashing acid all over.
Bill –
It worked just like it was supposed to And gave me the information I needed.
David Haas –
Seal between bulb and glass leaks and the acid level changes quickly making it hard to read
sylvia m garza –
Nice tool for golf cart maintenance =)
Paul 1946 –
The only sure way to test batteries is with a hydrometer. Weak or shorted out cells show up immediately with this handy tool. The only downside is the bulbs on these things rot while the rest of it stays useful for years and years. I first learned how to use one of these in high school auto shop in 1962. It will save you the expense of buying a new battery too soon when all that is needed is a good charge effort. One nice feature of this hydrometer is the main tube is a polymer and it won’t break if you drop it. Older ones had a glass barrel and were quite fragile.
Ohio Rich –
Works perfectly as advertised. Bigger in real life than it appears on the site. Think of it is a higher-tech turkey baster and you’ll get the size about right.
LEON J SCOTT –
good always worked
Kenneth D. Clark –
Good product, easy read.
Jack –
We have solar panels on our moho so I needed something handy and fairly rugged that I could use to keep an eye on my batteries. This fit the bill perfectly. It’s plastic outer tube should hold b up well. I only gave it three stars because it just came in a box with no instructions although it is just your basic hydrometer.
Boyd Evan White –
Works as advertised.
Jerry Glucksman –
works just fine
rivereagle –
What can I say, it’s a simple battery hydrometer that measures the specific gravity of battery acid. Not exactly rocket science, but it works well.
Victor R. Nebeker –
Works great.
Brent A. Dorman –
Easy to use.
Sprocket –
The hydrometer has performed properly and as expected.
