I just installed this to replace a failed battery in my CyberPower 850VA. It fit perfectly and passed a self test after installation, so it looks like I’m good to go for the next few years. Update: As luck would have it, I had a 45 minute power outage the day after I got this installed. It worked perfectly through the outage. I shut down my PC and it ran my router and cable modem the rest of the time. 39% power remaining when my AC power came back. I’ll update this review in the event I have a problem with it before 3 years.

It’s sitting in my UPS replacing an old battery. So far it hasn’t immediately died or caught on fire so that’s good. Will have to see how it lasts vs. the official batteries. I got something like 5-7 years out of the original, but I’m in a VERY stable power area that has lost power maybe a half dozen times in that period and had so little plugged into it that the short runtime wasn’t a major problem. I only changed the old one when the battery started swelling and died completely. Realistically, 3-5 years is an outside estimate for one of these. At the price, 3 years wouldn’t be too bad.

Replaced the battery in my UPS. (Cyber power 550VA) and have no complaints. I tested it briefly. I think it arrived at near 13vdc near the 2A capacity before charging. Tested super quick and watched the voltage drop .2 and plugged back into AC power before getting the battery up to it’s float charge.I’m not sure how else to test a new battery as good and I’m not sure yet about the longevity of this battery but out of the box it seems to be performing well.

My apology. I removed the battery from the ups and put it on a separate charger. It took a full charge. The original time of failure was the battery not being charged in the ups, which subsequently made it to the garbage. The battery is fine and remains so.

I have the Cyberpower 600VA UPS and it fits exactly like the vendor says. One installation tip I would give is the old battery is difficult to remove the leads to the battery so I suggest getting a small screwdriver and hammer and placing the screwdriver where the lead would come off, tap gently and it will come off easily. I also suggest putting a piece of masking tape on the side of the new battery that faces out marked SH1228W battery. This is not marked on the new battery!Update: The battery is fantastic so I bought two (I have two Cyberpower 600VA UPSs). The second one (the newest one) was actually hard to squeeze in because the leads on the Cyberpower are just a little too short. This one require putting one lead on and pulling it snug with needle nose pliers. I think Cyberpower doesn’t want you to replace the battery. I used the same techniques as above to put on the second lead.

Fits like a glove in my Cyber 585VA. As stated in description, no adapters for the F1 terminals on the batt to mate with the F2 connectors on the unit. I knocked a star off due to the fact that the plastic terminal protectors were sitting on top and not on the terminals. Fast shipping!

Somehow, I had thought this battery could be used to replace a B.B. Battery, model BP5.5-12RT battery that is installed in the Cyber Power brand of 550VA uninterruptible power supplies. This battery does not fit in that model of CyberPower device. The battery is too large. The fault for this is mine, I should have compared the product dimensions listed on the product page with the measured dimensions of the battery I need to replace. However, all is not lost for me. I am pretty sure I can use the two batteries I ordered for replacing the battery pack on an APC brand, Back-UPS XS-1300 device that I also have. So for now I will give the batteries a 3 star rating and update my review later after installing them in the Back-UPS device I have in mind.

Remove one screw on the bottom3. Slide the cover panel off4. Remove the old battery5. Disconnect the two terminals6. Connect the two terminals to the new battery (be sure the colors match)7. Place battery back into the compartment8. Slide the cover panel on and reinsert the screwThis only took me a few minutes to do. Hopefully this battery lasts a few years like the original (5 years). If I have any issues with the battery I will be sure to update my review.

A note of caution: before removing your old battery study the wire routing or take a photo as it is a very tight fit and correct routing is critical for reassembling without crimping a wire. This replacement and about 20 minutes work saved me about $35 that I would have spent on a new UPS… pretty nice return.
