Worked great on my Gentron GG10020 generator. Perfect fit replacement. Put it on trickle charger when it arrived and it showed fully charged within 1-2 hours, meaning it was basically fully charged when it arrived. Great deal! Will be sure to keep it on a trickle charger so it doesn’t die as quick as my original one did.

I was expecting to take a trip to the hardware store to find replacement for one of the original which had corrosion/ rust on it. Then I thought I’d need to charge it before starting. Well just got the battery and replaced the one in my old Generac 10000EXL generator. The battery is used for the electric start. It fit liked a glove, and cranked the generator with ease. It appears to be identical to the battery that came with the generator. Also liked not having to fool with the battery core charges too. Pretty neat, the battery also came with new terminal bolts. I did not expect that.

Update April 2018: Living in New England, we got hammered during March with Nor’easter after Nor’easter. Lost power five different times, ranging from 8 hours to three days. This battery did its job well, starting the generator every time, first time. Although the battery gets charged when the generator is running, I also provide a trickle charge to the battery every Sunday for 8 hours (it’s on a timer), and that probably helps also. I’ll try to remember to update this review after a few more winters.Original Review: Bought this to replace the original battery on a Generac XG10000E generator. Old battery was 5 years old and no longer held a charge. Old battery also was 10 AH vs. the 18AH here, so I’m hoping it will do a lot of starts in cold weather without working out too hard. More AHs. Good.The location for this battery on the generator frame is tight, and the new battery slid into place perfectly. The battery comes with hardware for attaching the cables to the battery posts.As delivered, the battery voltage was 13.6 volts DC (unloaded). I left it on the charger overnight before using it to start the generator the next day. Worked just fine.Overall a good deal for a higher capacity battery that fits perfectly.

I buy a new one every 5 years for my generator. I try to keep it charged to extend the life. It would have five stars but it’s such a tight fit. Of course the original was a tight fit as well and had to be removed by pounding from the opposite end with a long screwdriver and a rubber mallet. I had the same problem removing a replacement to the original and I anticipate that issue again when I try and get this one out if I live that long
