Some people said that this battery was a little too big, but it fit right in to my unit, and its working just fine again , after the old battery died after a couple of years: ready for the rolling blackouts!

The battery arrived and I tried to put it into the Escape 150. It was a really tight fit, but I continued to try to it finally dropped into the proper slots. The replacement battery is just a hair bigger than the original battery. But the new battery came fully charged and ready to go. Would buy another one if needed.

This battery fit perfectly in my Goal Zero Escape 150 and it works fine.
Walter H. Hoppe –
I bought this battery for my Goal Zero Escape 150 because it was advertised to fit. The battery almost fits. The battery has some molded feet on the bottom that prevents it fitting into the Goal Zero Escape 150. I spent about 30 minutes with a file removing the extra material on the bottom of the battery. The battery then fit well and was easy to install at that point.

After 6+ years of use, my GoalZero Escape 150 is rejecting a charging duty…. Then, I found this – replacement battery. After replacing the battery, my backup battery is back in business!!! Little concern, but not a deal breaker: It looks similar to the original one. However, its size is slightly bigger. It seems the protecting outer shell is little thicker – unable to determine this discrepancy since I didn’t have a fine caliper to measure. In order to install w/o breaking the battery pack housing, there might be two options: either sanding the battery shell slightly or sanding GoalZero Escape 150 inner wall. I decided to sand the inner wall with a rotary power tool (there are four corner brackets to secure the battery with a bumper pad). After some trial and error, I was able to snuggle the new battery in. Strangely, the bottom cover of Escape 150 has more generous margin w/o any adjustment.

Barely made it 1 year and now it’s done. Never have owned a battery lasted this Short amount of time. Used it in a back up pro 650 by APC. Reason for 4 stars is because the seller/vendor replaced the battery after it went dead…. EXCELLENT customer service!!!

I can recommend the Mighty Max Battery anytime. I bought another replacement for my Goal Zero battery pack from Mighty Max Battery about a 1 1/2 year later from the first order. Unfortunately, Mighty Max Battery changed the company that made the first battery batch. The second battery batch (different supplier) wasn’t the exact fit for my goal zero, after a few exchange emails with more specs, like the batteries h – w – l (pics). I was taking care of by a wonderful customer support (Elizabeth). Elizabeth understood my problem, and told me that she will do her best to help me. Elizabeth was very kind and polite. Elizabeth’ was great at explaining the situation and gave me options to have my issue resolved. Elizabeth went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase. A+++ customer service. This was my experience and my personal opinion, and for my Goal zero battery pack… well so far it has been used for many outings and BBQ’s. The Mighty max battery replacement is running strong. Thank you so much.

So years after my parents bought a goal zero solar panel kit, we found it in there basement but the batter would not hold a charge. I purchased this battery about 2 months ago and it has been great. I now am able to have a light in my shed and charge my phone laptop and even my tool batteries off of this thing. Glad I bought the battery for it. I will say it was a little hard to install it was maybe a 1/16thto an 1/8 inch taller than the original battery so that made installation a little trick but I got it done

The battery was very slightly larger than I had expected. The battery needed to fit within a very tight space in which the OEM battery sat and the Mighty Max was just a bit too large.however, the size of the Mighty Max was exactly as listed on the specifications on .Mighty Max seller was very responsive in helping me to correct the issue.

We purchased two of these. One is working better than the other. We tested them with some lights and recharging a phone once. One battery lasted about 30 hours longer than the other. They were not easy to install. My husband finally put the battery on the table and the Goal Zero over it and used a good amount of force to get the battery seated properly. Overall I’m happy with the one battery but I’m not unhappy enough with the other to return it. We put them both to good use with the string of storms the north east was recently hit with, so I’m glad to have them.

Some people have already reported problems fitting the Mighty Max ML15-12 SLA into the Goal Zero Escape 150. Others have reported no problems. I must now add my own finding that it did NOT originally fit into my Escape 150. And, had I carefully checked the dimensions before ordering, it was right there in the product description (despite the product title: 12V 15AH F2 SLA Battery for Goal Zero Escape 150 Power Pack). It is described as Dimensions: 5.94 inches x 3.89 inches x 3.95 inches. The original battery in my unit was the Riter RT12140, which I measured to be (in inches): length 5 5/8 (5.94) X height 3 3/4 (3.75) X width 3 7/8 (3.88).The problem was that the extra 0.14 inches in height (not counting the terminals on top) conflicted with the distance between the hard plastic mounts that are a part of the molded plastic interior of the battery compartment. There seemed to be enough spare space between the other mounts for the extra 0.07 inch width. Some have said they made it work by shaving some plastic off of the battery. I would never do that to a sealed lead-acid battery, and I don’t recommend it. However, I was able to make the battery fit by cutting away part of the plastic mounts in the Escape 150, first with a Swiss Army knife, and finally touching it up with a Dremel drill and a diamond abrasion tip (which more melted, rather than shaving the plastic). I figure if I eventually have to replace it with one with the original dimensions, I can add some thin rubber padding to prevent the battery from shifting and rattling.I liked the idea of using this replacement battery, as it has a slightly higher amp-hour rating. With the new battery in place, the unit now seems to be working well. It may be that Goal Zero moved to a different, slightly larger battery, and modified the case accordingly, without changing the model number. I can still recommend the battery, but be warned and check the dimensions of your original battery unless you don’t mind possibly having to modify the case. And for getting the Escape 150 back together, just carefully observe the orientation of the original battery and the terminal wires. Also, adding a bit of tape on one side to the top and bottom pieces of the case next to the terminals might help to get it re-oriented correctly. If not, study the bottom part of the case, and notice there are cutouts there to provide extra room for the terminals on one side (which is actually the battery top, but it is now inserted on one end). And, yeah, the bottom part of the case seems to have enough room to fit either size battery with no modification.

Very POOR Product, I use it Off & On………more Off than On….this summer, Used it to power a Portable Ham Radio. Perhaps about 3-4 times, I notice that it would not take a Charge. I used a Harley Davidson Wall Charger, would not take it……….so finally after going thru this for several weeks, I took it to Auto Zone for a Charge, and they said it was DEAD…………..I only had this since early this year, but again, used it 3-4 times…………I went out to a local battery company, got a brand new one, for less the price as this one, came home and put on the wall charger, to see if the Charging LIght Came On, and it did……………I would NOT Recommend this Product of the Above Mentioned..

The GoalZero was purchased with large expectations of reducing waste in some way. Instead I have a device where I have to replace the battery every five years. This Mighty Max battery still appears to be the best solution for this wasteful process.

Disappointed with the OEM battery’s performance, I decided to try this version.I’m quite happy with my decision !The battery I received fit perfectly and exceeded the stock OEM capacity specs !(I guess my only suggestion to the do-it-yourselfer would be to duplicate your dis-assembly movements when installing the Mighty Max version, as the tolerances are tight. The recommendations by others here to set the new battery in the base first, is good advice. I actually want tight for such a replacement, as any fitment problems would have been an issue for me . . . and would have been reflected in my review.)I immediately discharged the 100% charged battery and it recharged completely with no issues. This appears to be an excellent replacement choice, IMO !Mighty Max shipped the battery immediately after order. It never made it. I phoned MM a day after the estimated delivery window closed, to indicate such. Carrier issues confirmed ! No arguments what-so-ever . . . and my complete satisfaction was foremost in my dealing with Mighty Max’s customer service folks in getting another battery shipped. Flawless follow-through !The battery I received came fully charged, fit perfectly and my experience with the manufacturer outstanding !

great replacement battery for a GZ Yeti150. takes all of 5 minutes to swap out. The OEM battery will fail (batteries do, it is the nature of things) and this will get you right back up and running.

Nice Battery Came mostly charged and took and keeps a charge very well so far (A few weeks). Fit the 150 perfectly. The trick is to note exactly how the old one is inserted and this one just slides in.

I just got it so this is only an initial impression. But I bought it to replace the dead factory battery in my Goal Zero Yeti 150. It fit perfectly: no trimming needed and no slop so it doesn’t rattle around inside the Yeti body. Once plugged in, it showed full charge on the Yeti display. I’ll charge this monthly or so to try to prevent another premature battery death. Fingers crossed that this unit lasts. UPDATE: Battery dead less than a year later. Not sure the battery can be blamed, I suspect that the Yeti drains these things dry if you don’t keep them topped off often enough, which I hadn’t been good about. I’ll charge monthly in the future.
M. Chapin –
The battery arrived a head of schedule and it was fully charged. It was fairly easy to replace the old battery for the Goal Zero Escape 150 once the four screws came out of the bottom. Ease the bottom of the charger off and release the positive and negative battery clips. I slipped the new battery inside the housing and ensured that I secured the two clips to the new terminals and then fixed the bottom back on and screwed it back together. It appears that there are some rubber bumpers inside the charger housing that might impede placement of the battery in the housing if you don’t carefully observe the new battery going in. Otherwise the next hurdle is how long a charge it holds and how quickly it recharges. The battery came in a secure box, priority mail wrapped in bubble packing material. I thought my Escape 150 was a goner after it refused to take a charge and I double checked the fuses (they looked fine); it appears that the batteries life had reached its natural ending.

So, I just received this power source ten minutes ago and it’s already installed in my old Goal Zero, Escape 150. There was no need to shave off parts of the battery as one reviewer wrote, just don’t try to fit it in intuitively with the rubber shock bumpers. Look at the old battery as it comes out and you’ll understand what I mean. Only thing I had to to was to bend back the plastic guards on the battery in order to attach the cables. It was ridiculously easy and the Escape 150 read 100% charge as soon as they were connected. Obviously, and because you are looking for a battery to replace the the one that failed, I started charging it immediately. I will submit an update in a few months to confirm or deny they success of this replacement. Cheers.
Joe Chambers –

perfect fit for goal zero escape 150 power pack. It took me maybe 10 minutes to swap out the battery. Battery came fully charged. I will give 5 stars if this batter holds up after several months of testing and I will buy 2 more for my other power packs.

After receiving the first battery, damaged beyond use in shipping, I received a replacement from Mighty Max Battery after exchanging some emails. The person I communicated with was a perfect 10 in customer service. At present, the new battery is performing as it should and I hope to have it do so for a goodly amount of time.

I purchased this battery to replace the dead battery in a Goal Zero Escape 150 which was never used (therefore never charged). Searched Goal Zero web site and the replacement battery is out of stock. So I bought this mighty max. For some reason, I had a great difficulty to put this battery into the Escape 150. This battery is slightly bigger than the space allowed. So I finally shaved one side of the battery to make it fit. The battery’s plastic case is not hard to shave off. The battery came in charged, although not fully charged. So I charged it after it was installed into the Escape 150 housing. It works great.
