    The replacement battery is slightly shorter and the posts are a little lower than the original but because it comes with new bolts for the posts you can make it work. I put one layer off a roll of foam made to seal a 2×6 wall onto concrete on the bottom and end of the batt. – plus another layer (cut to fit ) the end. The end plate then held it in snug in the batt. box and I took the flat washers from the old batt. bolts and added them to the backside of the cables . Works fine ! – Batt. lays flat in my generator -B&S 7000

    The criteria for the survey is vague at best. It’s a battery. It’s expensive, no way to tell about “longevity” and it’s under the gas tank…not a picnic to install. All said and done, it does what it’s supposed to. It starts the generator. And does it very well. Good purchase.

If it lasts two or three years (the previous, original one lasted 10 years), I’ll be perfectly happy and, if I can, I’ll up the longevity ranking to 5 stars.

    OK, so it’s a battery. Impossible to determine what its longevity will be. This one was a perfect fit, came fully charges and was easy to install. The generator turned right over. The battery that came with this generator lasted over 10 years and was always on a maintenance (trickle) charge. So we put a new trickle charger on the new battery and we’ll hope for the best. We test our generators periodically to know they are ready when we need them. We’ll update this review as time goes on and we have more information.

    I replaced my original cp12180xrp which lasted six years with mighty max because it was less money and shipping was included. The oem one is still available but reading the reviews for the mighty max i thought this is the best deal. Shipping was four days got it tested the volts 12.9 out of the box. The picture matches the terminal location. The width matches the depth matches the height is 1/4 shorter then they list. Installed it started my briggs elite series 7500watt generator started up easily in Ct and its 13 degrees f outside. Time will tell hope to get six years again but three to five would be normal for a battery of this type. Four stars because like i said time will tell. Update after 15 months 3/25/2019 battery is still going good.
