The YTX9-BS GEL is a 12V 8AH GEL (Maintenance Free) battery. Requires no addition of water during the life of the battery. The Mighty Max YTX9-BS GEL is a TRUE DEEP CYCLE battery that can be mounted in any position, requires no maintenance. When a Gel Cell battery is charged, no hazardous fumes escape the battery case, gases are processed within the battery itself.

    I only gave this 5 stars because they are very durable, my only issue is they aren’t fit for my application. I have 4 wired in series for an e-bike. 48v when wired properly. My charger is more of the issue than the batteries. But, since they are gel, they don’t charge the same as traditional acid batteries. If I was rich I would have just bought a good ebike if anything. When I was charging while simultaneously using the battery was able too run a phone, fan and stereo. And that was a single battery. Now with 4, I’m sure I’ll be much happier with the performance I’ll get when off grid. But, I definitely will be looking at a lot larger batteries from Mighty Max. They are perfect for emergency scenarios or camping with solar definitely. As long as the sun’s out, I bet I could even cook with them.

    Although started generator out of the box it still needed to be charged to proper voltage . The 12.55vdc should be more closer to 14 vdc just like a car battery. Of course running the generator does charge the battery in this Honda generatot. You can change the connections for the battery from the side position to the top which is needed for this generator for cable connections. Can’t say about longivity just hope it lasts as long a the last battery.

Arrived well packed in unopened sturdy box. Was replacement for identical Mighty Max battery I ordered 2 years ago. Taking 1 star off because didn’t include the needed terminal clips - was able to use the old battery’s clips

Replacement for my Murray MT100 riding lawnmower. Murray does not make replacement batteries and you are on your own if the battery goes bad. Bought Murray MT100 in 2023, battery went bad in 1 year and all other Murray replacement batteries are LARGER so it won't fit.This Mighty Max Battery fit the MT100 fine and it starts it perfectly too.

As an athletic trainer I rely on our water units every day to provide the water to our athletes. We have over 900 student athletes enrolled, and these units get used daily, so it is imperative these batteries are reliable. On a side note, I also use these batteries on my fishing kayak to power my fish finder. I can use my fish finder for about 20 hours before it turns off. These batteries are great! Highly recommend. I have not had any issues so I haven't spoken to customer service yet, but if they are as good as these batteries have been, I think I am in good hands.
