I bought this battery 2 years ago. Went inexpensive until I could afford a better one. I just took my NC700x for its annual service and had them test the battery – they said it is strong. This is after a year of heavy riding and then a year sitting in a storage unit without a trickle charger. I don’t know what you want out of a sub $40 battery, but this one seems to perform.

The metal part that the cables connect will bend when you try to tighten it up. You will have to hold it with pliers to make it rigid when you tighten the bolt. You have to tape the nut in place or it will fall out during installation. I have used this battery before and I do like it other than the above-mentioned flaws. I do recommend it based on price and longevity.

If you want to mount this battery in a NC700 you will have to modify the battery or the bike. The positive lead has a large tab of metal on the bottom and the battery positive post is not tall enough to account for it. The hardware is very cheap and hard to work with. I folded the end of a 7 tie wrap over and stuck it in the top hole to hold the nut in place for install. A ten minute battery swap took 2 hours. Installed and working it seems to have plenty of starting power and seems to work well after installation.

So far, so good. Charges and performs well and for the price, I think it’s a winner.

It worked well

I’ve had it for 5 months now on my Honda NC700X. I ride to work about 4x/week, so I have some time with the battery. It seems strong enough to start, with no signs yet of weakening. Time will tell.It was difficult holding the nuts in while putting the terminals on, but other than that, it fit fine.

In the description it said this would fit 2012 – 2014 Honda nc700x. This fit my 2015 Honda nc700x, it took me about 10 minutes to install the battery and my motorcycle started up right away. Very Happy.

Fits in the battery compartment well, fairly easy installation. Was fully charged and my bike started right up. My only concern was in the description on , it stated that this was a AGM battery, but no where on the box does it confirm that. I’m not really sure that it is. Still a good deal for the price. I will go on the Mighty Max website and see if I can confirm this. I’m interested to see how it holds up over time.

Battery works fine, but the install was such a hassle and took WAY longer than expected because of design issues. First, the battery’s terminals were way too short. I literally had to CHISEL away the plastic surrounding the terminals so the connectors of my bike could even make contact with them. The second issue is the nut that secures the bolt. It’s such a strange shape and nothing to secure them in place, so they slide everywhere. I had to have my father hold it in place with a tiny screwdriver as I screwed the bolt in. A battery install should not have been a two person job. To the designers: Raise the terminals higher so connectors can make contact with them, and have a more secure way of seating the nuts properly so it is flush so the bolt can pass through.

Battery works just fine, but had to fiddle with the terminals for quite a while to get it to work. There is no piece behind the terminal to lock the nut in place. I had to hold a screwdriver against the nut while tightening the terminal screw to apply pressure and actually tighten. Not a big deal, but on my motorcycle there isn’t a lot of room to work down there so it took longer than I had planned for a simple battery swap. Just for convenience sake, I probably would not order again.

Put this on my 2012 Honda NC700X. The battery came at 12.5 V, and the bike started right up. The only issue I had was that the terminals are slightly shorter than the stock battery, so I had to trim the leads on cables going to the bike. Other than that one issue, it went smoothly, and for the price, you cannot beat it. I’ll try to update this after I’ve had the battery on my bike for a while.
